In the picturesque village of Leonard Stanley stands Saxon Barn; one of Gloucestershire’s most prestigious Historic Monuments dating back to the 10th century.
Lovingly restored, under the guidance of Historic England, Saxon Barn is the perfect setting to celebrate your special day.
The views of the rolling Cotswolds countryside and medieval fishing pond have been favoured by various artists including Sir Stanley Spencer, and make an exquisite backdrop to memories that you will savour for years to come.
Saxon Barn is a historic and adaptable setting for any special occasion, in the stunning Cotswold countryside.
We offer a number of magical locations for your wedding blessing & reception; the site can be exclusively yours for the entire weekend. Saxon Barn is located on the same site as three award-winning cottages which sleep up to 16 guests.
Weddings can be held for just 10 and up to 85. We allow couples the freedom to choose their own suppliers, therefore providing them with the opportunity to create a wedding that is truly bespoke. Whether you would like a pig roast or a five course tasting menu – it is all possible at Saxon Barn! Please see our list of recommended suppliers here.
To discuss the options or arrange a visit please contact us.
Due to our quiet village location, all celebrations in the barn must finish by 10pm.
We allow you to create your own personalised wedding experience offering a number of different possibilities for your wedding on our beautiful, historic site.
Wedding blessings can take place in both the garden and in the ancient Saxon Barn nearby. We are currently in the process of applying for a ceremonies license.
If you would prefer a church service, the beautiful Leonard Stanley Parish Church is just a stone's throw from the Saxon Barn and manor house itself.
